What is Omani Gratuity for Expats?
Expatriate workers in Oman are entitled to end-of-service benefits (commonly called gratuity) upon termination of their employment contracts, provided they have completed at least one year of continuous service.
Gratuity Calculation Scale
According to Oman Labour Law:
- First 3 Years of Service: Expat employees receive 15 days of basic salary for each year of service (equivalent to half a month per year).
- Service Years Beyond 3: Expat employees receive 30 days of basic salary for each additional year of service.
The payout is calculated based on the employee's last basic salary.
Action Plan: Check Contracts
- Verify Basic Salary: Review your latest salary slip to confirm your basic salary amount.
- Estimate Payout: Use our Oman End of Service Gratuity Estimator to model your total benefit.
